Playlist¶

media.playout.playlist

A server playlist creates a linear broadcast from a sequence of files or live streams. In FMS, the source is playlist:///path/playlist.txt; lines contain VOD paths or stream names.

#EXTINF:60 limits an item to 60 seconds, #EXT-X-UTC sets a Unix UTC start time, and #EXT-X-PROGRAM-DATE-TIME uses ISO 8601. The playlist is reread after each file. #EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE resumes with the number after the last played item.
