RTMP over TCP with continuous media messages.

This list describes Sapsan output; decoding support depends on the player. Tracks also need valid codec parameters for packaging in the selected container.
HEVC and AV1 use Enhanced RTMP with FourCC hvc1 and av01; the client must support these extensions. Ordinary RTMP/FLV support does not guarantee playback of these video codecs.
Configuration¶
Sapsan serves live streams to RTMP clients. Enable the listener through central in the streamer config:

Playback¶
rtmp://server:1935/live/cam1
Here the client application is live and the play path is cam1. Sapsan selects the stream by the play path without prepending the application. For group/cam1, pass the complete group/cam1 as the play path. This endpoint serves live playback without archive selection. HEVC and AV1 require an Enhanced RTMP client.
For protected playback, pass the token in the play path (cam1?token=<token>). A token in connect metadata is also supported; the play-path token takes priority.
