Description¶

ASI carries MPEG-TS through a physical card connector, unlike SDI, which carries uncompressed video. The current Sapsan implementation has no ASI capture path connected to the media pipeline. The card and its ASI port may appear in hardware inventory.

Configuration¶

The current central API has no working ASI input setting. Configuring SDI does not enable ASI reception from the same physical connector.

Parameters¶

ASI input parameters are not defined; reception requires a separate source implementation.

Transport options¶

Physical ASI carrying MPEG-TS. ASI output is the separate media.push.asi feature.

Supported codecs¶

No ASI codec list is defined: the current implementation does not emit frames from an ASI input. For MPEG-TS received through a network input, see MPEG-TS codecs.

Error handling¶

ASI input error behavior is not defined because the source is not implemented.

Applying changes¶

No central operation for applying or restarting an ASI input is defined.

Counters¶

There are no counters for an operational ASI input. Card inventory describes hardware; network MPEG-TS input counters belong to a separate source.

Other details¶

ASI depends on the firmware mode and physical port direction. A BNC connector alone does not identify the signal type.
