Admin User Interface

The Flussonic Admin UI now makes it simple to configure ttxt_descriptors, allowing users to enable or disable streams using files on disk at the touch of a button.

Furthermore, you can quickly utilize SCTE markers for segment-based protocols such as HLS, HDS, and DASH, creating a seamless experience for ad insertion, content navigation, emergency alerts, dynamic content variations, and interactive experiences.

Plus, with checks for uniqueness in both subscriber names and package names, managing IPTV subscriptions is a breeze. Moreover, to ensure smooth operation, we’ve added the ability to set output audio for RTSP inputs directly from the Admin UI—allowing you to select from an easy-to-use dropdown list of allowed values.

SRT Publication

We’ve revolutionized SRT publication with our new dynamic stream naming feature via config_external. This groundbreaking innovation maximizes flexibility, renders system integration effortless, and enables automated stream creation, providing a streamlined experience when it comes to managing your streams.

We’re also proud to announce that our improved “handshake” processes have eradicated lingering issues of “Listener’s backlog exceeded” errors, allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted streaming. With the seamless publication capabilities enabled by our solution, you can take your streaming experience to the next level today!

Flussonic API

Prometheus-compatible formatting is now available via the API, allowing you to generate precisely tailored responses according to your specific needs.

The config_external API has been extended with separate methods for updating dynamic streams and creating new ones, which can further be disabled to provide greater control.

Accompanied by x-api-allow and x-api-deny directives, you can customize the API schema with detailed precision. For legacy installations, certain deprecated fields have also been reinstated, granting seamless integration with older versions of Watcher which are not yet completely independent from Media Server - so updating Media Server separately remains a viable option until the 23.09 release.

Kubernetes-ready

Embrace the power of effortless transformation with our latest update for deploying Flussonic Media Server in Docker. With optimized sysctl and /proc settings, enjoy a hassle-free experience absent from confounded errors. Unlock the gateway to magnified potency by bypassing these obstacles and encounter a superlative deployment of Flussonic Media Server within your Docker environment.

Multiplexer

We are delighted to announce that with our most recent upgrade, the multiplexer pusher is now improved with an enhanced bitrate allocation system specifically designed to support teletext and SCTE PIDs. The revamped bitrate ensure data is faithfully preserved, whilst judiciously utilizing the bandwidth of the pusher, thereby guaranteeing a seamless and uninterrupted performance for the users.

Coder

Forget about power consumption measurement errors and booting problems! We’ve just upgraded Flussonic Coder, our hardware solution, with enhanced capabilities that ensure accurate monitoring and reliable cold starts. Now you can confidently fire up your Nvidia Jetson TX2 SoC modules without any worries—no more false pulsedb messages or unnecessary alarms! Enjoy the improved precision and reliability of our newly revised Flussonic Coder.

Documentation

To ensure flawless streaming, it is essential to configure an NTP server on the Flussonic server. Our documentation provides an outline of the prerequisites needed to initiate multicast streams—a crucial step for avoiding time discrepancies between the source and our pusher.

The article called Setting Up CDN has been updated to better explain teh purpose of a CDN and its benefits in broadcasting live and archived video. Read this article to learn how to implement a CDN pipeline.

Finally, we have added a new article to our Documentation Section that provides a detailed explanation of multiplexers, their importance, and how they can be effectively designed and used in different projects.
