Faces¶

vision.detect.faces

The detector locates faces in a frame. By default it analyzes the whole frame; polygonal detection zones restrict the search. Face detection alone does not identify the person.

For subsequent recognition, the face must be discernible in the image. The Watcher manual recommends at least 50–60 pixels between pupils at 720p and uniform lighting of at least 150 lux.
