24.10 Watcher

Over the past month, we’ve been busy bringing exciting improvements to Watcher. Our latest release includes a brand-new update for Android, while our work on the iOS app is moving full steam ahead. The updated API v3 introduces even more user-friendly features, like intuitive folder organization and the ability to add and save streams. Plus, we’ve enhanced support for fh8852v201 cameras—now with advanced motion detection to ensure you never miss a moment.

Improved support for fh8852v201 IP cameras

Motion detection now works for these cameras, and audio is recorded in the AAC codec.

Expanded the new API v3

We added missing fields to the client API v3, such as the ability to add and save streams. The new version also includes search by episode using the ‘name’ field and a new attribute streams[].folder, which indicates the folder in which the stream is located. Knowing the folder makes it easy to display and use a folder tree if needed.

Along with this attribute, there is now a way to export all streams from a specific folder: you can filter streams_list by folder_id and preset_id.

The client API also now includes controllers for controlling PTZ cameras.

In the admin API, it is now possible to retrieve the full list of agents.

Started tracking the deletion of episodes

We now track how many episodes have been automatically deleted from the camera. This will help identify when episodes are overfilling and ensure that the cleanup process is working correctly.
