DVR

DVR stands for Digital Video Recorder. It is a technology that enables a person to watch a show later. You can record a TV show and then watch it whenever you want. A DVR stores all the programs you want to watch and lets you watch those programs on your own schedule. This is different from a VCR which can only record one program at a time. DVRs are digital recorders which store the shows you want to watch on hard disk or flash memory. You can play back shows from the built-in hard disk or from a removable memory card. A DVR can be a stand alone device or a component of a TV set. The DVR records TV programs in a digital format. If you have a DVR, you can pause, rewind, fast forward and copy any TV show you want.
