Version 26.02

Flussonic 26.02 Released: SMPTE 2110 Integration, SimulCrypt Support, and Expanded NVR Management

We are happy to announce the Flussonic 26.02 release, bringing important improvements for broadcast, IPTV, and video surveillance deployments. This version introduces full SMPTE 2110 integration, SimulCrypt support for CAS systems, improved Kubernetes deployment capabilities, and major enhancements to Watcher NVR management.

These updates continue to strengthen Flussonic as a unified platform for video streaming, broadcast workflows, and large-scale video infrastructure.

Full SMPTE 2110 Integration

Flussonic Media Server now supports SMPTE ST 2110 audio input (L24) via NMOS, completing integration with professional broadcast IP production networks.

With this release, Flussonic can act as both:

Since SMPTE 2110 video support was already available, this release completes the integration and enables Flussonic to operate seamlessly inside 2110-based broadcast infrastructures.

This allows broadcasters to integrate Flussonic directly into modern IP production environments without additional conversion equipment.

SimulCrypt Support for CAS Integration

Flussonic 26.02 introduces SimulCrypt ECM support, enabling integration with professional Conditional Access Systems (CAS).

Because SimulCrypt follows industry standards, Flussonic can now work with any CAS that supports the standard SimulCrypt protocols.

This feature is production-ready and allows operators to use Flussonic in DVB, IPTV, and protected broadcast distribution environments requiring conditional access.

Kubernetes-Friendly Streaming with Prefix Routing

Running Flussonic inside Kubernetes environments is now easier with the new streaming_prefix option.

Previously, Flussonic served streams from the root path (/), which required catch-all routing. Now operators can define a prefix for all streaming endpoints.

Example:

/s/mystream/index.m3u8

This makes it much easier to integrate Flussonic with:

Improved Kubernetes Operator

This release also improves the Flussonic Kubernetes Operator and Flussonic Central deployment model.

Enhancements include:

These improvements simplify running large clusters of Flussonic streamers in cloud or containerized environments.

Safer VOD Workflows with MP4 Validation Tool

Flussonic 26.02 introduces a new MP4 validation utility designed for VOD ingestion pipelines.

Malformed MP4 files can cause playback issues or resource problems during processing. The new tool allows operators to validate files before ingesting them into Flussonic, improving reliability of VOD workflows.

Watcher: Expanded NVR Management

Flussonic Watcher continues to evolve as a powerful video surveillance management platform.

The most important update in this release is expanded NVR management capabilities through Cloud Watcher.

Operators can now:

These features significantly simplify large-scale surveillance deployments, allowing administrators to manage distributed recording infrastructure from a single interface.

Additional Improvements

The 26.02 release also includes multiple stability improvements and enhancements across the platform:
