25.01 Watcher
We continue to expand deployment options for Watcher: use our guide to run it in a Docker container. All cameras with Iris firmware now support image rotation, allowing ceiling mounting. We have also extended API v.3 by adding user access management in folders.
Here are the details about the updates.
Run Watcher with Docker
We continue to simplify the infrastructure required to work with Watcher. To run the application in a Docker container, use our deployment guide. It is a quick and secure way to deploy a video surveillance system in the infrastructure of your choice.
The guide is already available on Docker Hub.
Rotate Camera Images When Mounted on Ceilings
You can now rotate the image upside down on any camera with Iris firmware — for example, if you decide to mount the camera on the ceiling.
Previously, our home cameras did not support this feature. Now they can be installed in any position that suits your needs.
Manage User Access Rights with API v.3
The new version of the client API includes functionality for managing user access rights in folders: you can add, modify, and remove user permissions in folders. Use the folder_users_list and folder_user_get operations to control access rights.
