24.09 Watcher

In the latest Watcher update, several important improvements have been introduced. Watcher now processes labels to create, update, and issue streamers, offering more control over stream management. Admins can now manage archive download permissions in the sharing settings, giving more flexibility when sharing content. To help optimize storage, the system now supports automatic deletion of face events based on archive depth settings, reducing data usage and improving search efficiency.

New Features in Flussonic Watcher 24.09

  • Watcher now processes labels to create, update, and issue streamers.
  • You can now control permissions for downloading the archive when sharing. An option to allow or disallow archive downloads has been added to the sharing settings in the admin camera list.
  • QR detection has been implemented on cameras.
  • Users’ service provider contacts are now available in the client area interface.
  • The deletion of face events based on the set archive depth settings and event records has been added. This helps limit data, reducing the search sample and disk space usage.
  • The Agent is now supported in Ingenic T31 chipset cameras based on MIPS architecture.
  • A command to create a stream has been added: /opt/flussonic/contrib/watcher create_stream.
  • You can now use the filter by name and name_like in the API v3 Watcher users_list. This allows you to retrieve the ID in a single request, using the login, if you need to revoke camera access for users.
  • Docker images can now be launched within the firmware of Flussonic appliances, such as running Watcher VMS with video analytics on Coder. Try the release and rolling versions available on Docker Hub flussonic/watcher.
  • PTZ control has been added for the JVS-H950e camera, and Iris firmware is now available for it as well.

Improvements and Changes

  • Added recognition of Israeli license plates.
  • Updates on mobile Watcher: added a new page with presets for admins.
  • Added an import method for bulk adding camera configurations in JSON and CSV format.
  • Added the organization_id, dvr, vision, and onvif fields to streams, and enabled filtering by these fields in the list.
  • Refactored PTZ control via the web API.
  • Fixed an issue with the APK not installing over the version from Google Play.
  • Added a page displaying versions of Iris components.
  • The export option is now enabled by default when selecting DVR in the sharing settings of the admin camera list.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the issue where not all available organizations were displayed when editing a user.
  • Fixed the camera display in mosaics when the camera’s substream is enabled.
  • Fixed the display of ONVIF parameters when editing the camera.
  • Improved by fixing black borders on videos in the embed.
  • You can now configure RAID via the Watcher API.
  • Accelerated the calculation of the number of active NVRs when a large number of servers are added.
  • Fixed infinite loading when unable to add an advertisement.
  • Fixed the display of episode previews in Safari.
  • Fixed the display and playback of episodes on mobile devices.
  • Fixed the return of DVR info in stream stats.
  • The Iris serial number is now more stable (using hardware ID or MAC address).
  • Fixed the search for cameras in the events list.
  • Fixed the detection of emergency vehicles.
  • Optimized episode cleanup to prevent disk space from filling up due to slow cleanup.
  • Fixed the issue where episodes were deleted earlier than the archive.
  • Fixed the issue where not all available organizations were displayed when editing the camera.
  • Fixed a bug with password reset.
  • Fixed incorrect handling of face identification requests.
  • Fixed the return of the preview format for people, so users will now see photos instead of gray squares.
  • Fixed the issue where the streamer was not displayed in the camera settings.
  • Fixed the retrieval of ONVIF data.
  • Fixed the search function in the admin camera list.
  • Fixed the broken initial network configuration on the JVS-CR1 camera.

  • Export functionality is now available for old share tokens.
  • Fixed the Watcher update from versions lower than 23.04, caused by the removal of an outdated database parameter in the flussonic.conf configuration. Also fixed the issue that prevented Watcher from starting when there was no connection to the license server.
