Viewing mosaics¶
A Mosaic is a page with several simultaneously viewed cameras. Read here how to configure them.
Go to Mosaics menu item and select one of the previously created mosaic.
Mosaic UI¶
The mosaic interface hides the side menu to make it convenient to pin browser's tab on a dedicated monitor. To return to the list, click the arrow in the upper left corner.
The mosaic can use a sub-stream from the camera: the sub-stream will be shown in the grid, and when you click "expand" the player will open the stream in high quality.
Usuing sub-streams is the only way to play a large number of streams in real-time, as decoding video in full quality takes up a lot of CPU resources. There is no practical benefit either, as even a 4K monitor can only fit a 2x2 mosaic with cameras at a resolution of 1920x1080. In practice, you want to display at least 6-16 cameras on the monitor (this means grids of 3x3 or 4x4), which gives about ~200-300px in height at best.
The buttons on the camera tile allow turning on/off the sound, save the frame to your computer and expand the video to full screen.
You can also use the Dashboard for advanced mosaic operation and control.
